MANSFIELD, PA— The Respiratory Therapy Program at Mansfield University has received a special honor from its national accrediting agency.
The Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) has given the Distinguished RRT Credentialing Success Award to the program.
In a letter to Program Director Larry Vosburgh, officials said the RRT credential is “a measure of a program’s success in inspiring its graduates to achieve their highest educational and professional aspirations.”
“We’re very pleased with this award,” said Mansfield University Interim President Allan Golden. “It underscores the fact that our respiratory therapy program has excellent faculty, outstanding students and a program that meets the rigorous standards of the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care.”
The Respiratory Therapy Program is a full-time, two-year, Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree program. It is a collaborative program between MU’s Department of Health Sciences and Guthrie Health.
